Certificate in Business Administration (Cert.BA)

This is an introductory course to the fundamental principles of business studies.

Students who have the necessary GCE "O" Level passes but have not reached the age requirement for direct entry to the Diploma stage will be offered the Certificate in Business administration. This is a foundation business course. ( NOTE: Students on the diploma course who have completed the Certificate in Business Administration , may out-perform direct entrants, even though their initial academic level may be lower).

The course has been specially structured by the Society of Business Practitioners (UK) syllabuses to meet the requirements of the Asian Students who lack formal education at the GCE "A" Level standard. . Assessment of students is based on written assignments and/or examinations. Emphasis will be placed on adult learning and application rather than memory work.

Subjects include :

  Introduction To Business Organisation.
  Introduction To Economics & Commerce.
  Introduction To Accounting.
  Introduction To Information Technology.


Admissions :

  GCE "N" level / GCE "O" level,  OR

  Must be at least 17 years of age or above.
  


 

Diploma in Business Administration (DBA)

The Diploma in Business Administration is a course for individuals who have some working experience and would like to acquire a basic foundation of how administrative procedures and businesses are run today. This course introduces candidates to the essential business functions such as economics, management, accounting, marketing and communication. This is a practical route for people with a keen interest in upgrading their skills in the business discipline.

The course structure has been modified from the Society of Business Practitioners (UK) syllabuses to meet the requirements of the Asian Business Practitioner / Student. Assessment of students is based on written assignments and/or examinations. Emphasis will be placed on adult learning and application rather than memory work.

Subjects include :

  Business Administration/ Management.
  Economics.
  Principles of Accounting.
  Communication in Business.
  Principles and Practice of Selling.


Admissions :

  Must be 18 years of age or above.
  GCE ‘A’ level, Certificate in Business Administration.
    
or

  GCE ‘O’ level/ ‘N’ level with working experience.

   

    


 

Advanced Diploma in Business Administration (ADBA)

The Advanced Diploma in Business Administration is a course for individuals who have earned the SBP Diploma in Business Administration and would like to build on a basic foundation of how administration and businesses are managed today. This course introduces candidates to the essential business functions such as HRM, business mathematics, management accounting, marketing and operations management. This is a practical route for people with a keen interest in upgrading their skills in the business discipline.

The course structure has been modified from the Society of Business Practitioners (UK) syllabuses to meet the requirements of the Asian Business Practitioner / Student. Assessment of students is based on written assignments and/or examinations. Emphasis will be placed on adult learning and application rather than memory work.

  Statistics.
  Management  Accounting.
  Production & Operations Management.
  Marketing Management.


Admissions :

    SBP Diploma Holder
    Any Other Equivalent Diploma Qualification
