In line with industry standards on the upgrading of skills, training, education and development, the Society’s Academic Review Council (ARC) had tasked the SBP’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) unit to undertake a review and revamp of the existing portfolios of membership grades.

This has now been completed and the recommendations submitted to the Society’s  ARC  for final arbitration. Approval for the newly revised and upgraded format of Professional Membership has been granted and will now take the form of two separate routes:

1.       Standard Membership via the Society’s diploma programmes and/or via direct entry for qualifications deemed equivalent by the SBP’s ARC.

2.       Senior Professional Membership via a new competency based training & academic programme assessment leading to a Validated Senior Qualification Award at 4 grades pegged at the NQF levels 4 through 7.

The Senior Level awards earned through the NQF Validated routes are meant to provide a platform for Junior, Middle, and Senior Managers/Directors in industry, commerce and government, to continuously upgrade their management skills through training, education, and development in order to  enhance their work performance for the betterment of their respective organizations. These senior Professional Qualifications awarded by the Society serves to recognize their efforts and to provide them with an alternative route to seek further and higher education at the Bachelor and Master Degree levels.

c)       Certified Professional Manager – CPM (For SBP Post Graduate or Graduate Diploma Holders ONLY)

d)      Honorary Fellow – FSocBP (Hon) : BY INVITATION ONLY FOR SENIOR AND/OR ACCOMPLISHED INDIVIDUALS
